Youth-Led Action
The SERAY WURIE FOUNDATION works alongside young people across Sierra Leone as they take charge of their health, rights, and bodily autonomy. Operating with a dedicated focus on adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (AYSRHR), we believe young people are the experts on their own lives. Our youth-led advocacy and peer initiatives ensure adolescents and youth are active decision-makers in their health and well-being, driving lasting change across the country.
A network of university youth volunteers and storytellers working to build empathy, dismantle deep-seated social taboos, and cultivate true youth power. By elevating authentic lived experiences and leading with peer-to-peer trust, these student advocates drive open, non-judgmental dialogues around bodily autonomy, sexual health rights, and emergency contraception.

Young people are the primary experts on our own health, bodies, and futures. We work alongside youth activists and community allies to ensure every adolescent has the platform, resources, and power to lead meaningful change.

- Cultivating Real Youth Power: Mobilizing student activists across schools and university campuses to challenge discriminatory norms and demand responsive, equitable healthcare services.
- Amplifying Stories to Shift Culture: Using youth-led storytelling and direct advocacy to dismantle deep-seated social taboos, reduce stigma, and build community empathy.
- Demanding Safe, Equitable Spaces: Organizing grassroots campaigns to end gender-based violence, eliminate barriers to education, and ensure every young person's rights are recognized and protected.
